MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Nobutake Suzuki, “MUIP”) today announced that sustainacraft Inc. (Representative Director: Hiroshi Suetsugu), one of MUIP’s portfolio companies, was acquired by Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC (Representative Executive Officer: Kenichi Kimura), effective April 1, 2026.
In conjunction with joining the Deloitte Tohmatsu Group, sustainacraft has changed its corporate name to Deloitte Tohmatsu Sustainacraft Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "DTSC") and has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Deloitte Tohmatsu. By combining with the group's consulting capabilities and network, this move is expected to strengthen sustainacraft’s services in the areas of natural capital and climate change.
Since investing in sustainacraft in 2022, MUIP has supported the company's growth, sharing its vision of creating healthy flows of financial capital into natural capital. The company’s joining of the Deloitte Tohmatsu Group reflects the recognition of sustainacraft's technological capabilities and business value, and is a development we regard as highly meaningful.
Going forward, MUIP will continue to contribute, in its role as MUFG's Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), to the creation of innovation through investment in and support of startups that aim to both address social challenges and achieve sustainable growth in corporate value.
